Clansdale
This project consisted of supplying an existing house with a 2 storey extension, to make the most of unused space above the small garage. We had some prior involvement in the property in 2004 when we monitored the property due to subsidence issues, the drains were repaired and crack repairs were completed.
This time round, BSC designed a spreader beam and steel frame to take the loads of the new extension. A more spacious garage was created, and a new large bedroom with ensuite and dressing room was built. BSC were also involved in checking schedule 2 items from external suppliers, including specialist floor posi-joists and roof truss calculations.
Overall, this was a well-designed project which gave much more value and space to the home.
