Our services included the design and detail of a single storey timber frame extension to a detached property, including isolated steel frames where large sliding doors are present. The property had external openings which were to be incorporated into the new extension – the existing lintels were to remain untouched. As such, a steel frame was introduced adjacent to the existing property to take the load of the proposed roof.
Our services also included liaising with the contractor, architect and client to develop a suitable system of restraint for the glazed balustrade that incorporated the client’s wishes of having a hidden channel.
