Esther joined BSC as a graduate engineer after completing her BEng in Civil Engineering at the University of Exeter. During her studies, she developed a strong interest in structural behaviour, sustainability in the built environment, and the use of digital tools to improve design efficiency.
In 2024, she gained industry experience with BDP in London, working within a multidisciplinary design team on large projects including the Pakistan Olympic Stadium. She also previously worked with Geomarine in 2021, where she developed practical knowledge of ground conditions and site investigations in marine environments while contributing to works at the new St Helier marina that hosts the annual boat show.
These experiences have given Esther a balanced mix of theoretical understanding and practical insight into real-world engineering challenges.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find her checking the surf or being outnumbered by her two mischievous Cavapoos.
